A program for ages 55+
$50 per person
Build your sculpture skills while exploring a variety of fun, hands-on materials and techniques. You'll work with paper-mâché, wire, and polymer clay to learn how armatures - simple interior supports - can help give sculptures shape and structure. Through a series of projects, you'll practice new techniques and build on what you've learned along the way. Designed for all experience levels, this class offers a relaxed, welcoming environment to experiment, create, and gain confidence working in three dimensions.

Class: Stained Glass Mosaic
Geared toward beginners who want to explore basic glass mosaic techniques: This class covers preparation of the substrate, design planning, scoring, cutting, and shaping glass, a variety of tesserae nipping techniques, and grouting for a finished product ready to display. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of mosaic tools and materials and will complete a framed Glass on Glass mosaic picture with the beauty and translucence of stained glass art. A variety of patterns will be supplied. Students may also complete a supplemental project of choice as time allows.

Join us for a festive workshop where you'll create your own needle-felted Christmas ornaments. Learn the basics of needle felting as you craft handmade decorations perfect for the holiday season. No prior experience needed.
All tools, supplies, and safety gear will be provided to make two ornaments.

Workshop: Holiday Card Printmaking

Make Christmas cards with your own creative touch! Design and print your cards using foam plate printmaking, then have fun experimenting with markers, ink, stencils, and stamps. You’ll make two variations of your design and leave with three cards ready to send to loved ones—plus your foam printing plate so you can make more at home! No previous experience required.

Workshop: Cut & Paste Portraits
Grab a friend, partner, or family member and create collage portraits of each other! Play with shape, color, layering, and details as you cut, arrange, and piece together a fun interpretation of the person sitting across from you.
Please note: Registration includes TWO participants. Only one person needs to register and pay; your guest does not need to register separately.

Discover how color can bring your artwork to life in Senior Perspectives! Through various projects explore how colors work together, practice mixing new shades, and learn how different combinations can create a mood or make parts of your artwork stand out. We’ll introduce the basics of color theory in an approachable way, with plenty of time to experiment, ask questions, and put what you learn into practice. Whether you’re new to art or looking to build on your skills, join us to explore color and enjoy creating in a relaxed, welcoming setting. No previous art experience is needed.
