ABOUT THE ACADEMY
During each of the three week programs, scholars collaborate with world-renowned faculty in an inclusive environment with a focus on free-flowing ideas - a philosophy we refer to as "sharing of knowledge."

Scholars and faculty bond through group classes, workshops, excursions, performances, and sometimes just hanging out!
If you find yourself in downtown Wabash in June, keep an eye out.... these energetic scholars will be around. Be sure to welcome them to Wabash, and make plans to see them LIVE during the public performances, and hang out with them afterwards at a post-show reception!

Artistic Director
GRAMMY-winning, Emmy-winning, and Gold record double bassist Ranaan Meyer is a founding member and performer with the string trio Time for Three and a solo performing artist, composer, and educator.

As founder and Artistic Director of the Academy, Ranaan's vision for the program follows three key points:

-
Top-level musicians and individuals participating
-
Full scholarship for everyone who attends.
-
A philosophy he calls the “sharing of knowledge”

He says, "The 'sharing of knowledge' philosophy creates a foundation that empowers everyone to learn from one another. Through research, we identified this is not always the benchmark for everyone. During my final lesson with my mentor Hal Robinson (also an Academy faculty mentor), I asked what I could do to pay back the incredible wisdom I had gained over the years. He responded to 'simply pay it forward.' The vision for Honeywell Arts Academy is about empowering through the sharing of knowledge philosophy, which is - and will create - a benchmark for a new world to search for empowering themselves individually and as a community. "
