Dear friends,

As another year wraps up, we find ourselves amazed at how fast time goes.

Days turn into weeks, weeks into months, months into years, and before long, those years turn into the seasons of life.

In 2023, we began to view our mission with a new perspective. While we’ll always strive for and reflect on the growth of our offerings, we’ve come to realize our growth goes hand in hand with our patrons’ own personal growth.

From integrating the arts into classrooms at a young age, creating memories for friends and families at live performances, and providing hands-on, interactive arts opportunities for all ages, Honeywell truly inspires a lifelong love of the arts.

The benefits of the arts are well known. The arts enhance cognitive and motor skills, social interaction, personal fulfillment, creative expression, well being… and sometimes the arts are just plain fun! By curating a variety of offerings, we ensure every patron has almost endless opportunities to reap these benefits through every season of their life.

While this annual recap is heavy on numbers as we measure our impact, we remind ourselves that each and every number is a reflection of someone’s memories, inspiration, and betterment. And we’re so incredibly humbled that you, our supporters, continue to grow this inspiration by your generous contributions.

As always, we sincerely thank you for your investment in inspiring a lifelong love of the arts.

Our Mission

Schools
Honeywell Arts In Education is a collection of programs for students and educators to reap the developmental benefits of the arts in the classroom. Programs are taken directly into classrooms and are offered at no cost to the schools, allowing all students to participate.

The program features initiatives like Visual Thinking Strategies, a nationally-recognized program that uses visual images and facilitated discussion to strengthen the skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and writing. In 2023, the Honeywell VTS program grew to include 17 schools, including a new expansion into Allen County. Learn more.

Other Arts In Education offerings include student art exhibits, teaching artist residencies, curriculum-based theater performances, and an accredited media arts program for high school students.

Arts For All
Arts for All is a new initiative that launched in the fall of 2023, offering visual arts, music, and theatre opportunities for all ages. The program facilitates engagement in the arts through classes, workshops, and lessons in a wide range of arts areas.
Honeywell Arts Academy hosted three full-scholarship institutes for emerging musicians, led by Artistic Director Ranaan Meyer of the GRAMMY-winning string trio Time For Three and world-renowned faculty. Each week-long institute took place at Eagles Theatre and concluded with a live performance featuring participants and faculty. In 2023, 20% of the live performance audience were new to the Arts Academy Experience!
Honeywell Arts Academy attracts global talent and has hosted scholars from Canada, Mexico, China, Finland, Romania, the UK, Turkey, Brazil, Haiti, Germany, and the USA.
